Website Platform Check

This is a simple tool used to check the properties of a website.

This information can also be accessed via an API /api/scanner?url={url}

Note that this is a simple application that reads the HTML directly. It does not read heading or toolkit information that may be interjected via JavaScript.

About This Project

This started in 2026 as a way to identify hosting, CMS, and components being used in a website, mainly used for testing teams to look at our websites.

This was transferred to the WIGG group and is hosted on our Web Illinois Github Repository. Issues can be created at the Site Scanner project.
